How should I price myself if my show gets less than 1000 downloads per episode?

If your podcast averages fewer than 1,000 downloads per episode, we recommend setting a flat rate for sponsorships.

For pre-roll and mid-roll ads, a flat rate of $15-$40 is typically acceptable to most brands.

For custom work such as reviews and interviews, which require more time and effort, consider starting with a rate between $40-$100.

You could also offer bundle deals for multiple episode sponsorships to make your offer more attractive to brands.

Q: How should I price myself if my show gets more than 1000 downloads per episode?

If your show averages over 1,000 downloads per episode, you can choose to charge a flat rate or use a CPM pricing model (X number of dollars per thousand downloads/listens).

For pre-roll or mid-roll ads, a CPM rate of $15-$30 is generally acceptable to most brands.

For more integrated and custom content, such as detailed product reviews, interviews, or topical discussions, you can charge a higher flat rate or a CPM rate in the range of $30-$50.

If you decide to go with a higher price, make sure to present a compelling case about how you will deliver value and achieve significant results for the brand’s campaign.

Q: Can prices be negotiated or updated?

Yes, brands can negotiate for a different price. If you agree to the new terms, you can update your proposal.

To make changes to a submitted proposal, go to the Sponsorship page and select

Proposals Sent.

Once you’re on the Proposals Sent page, you’ll see a list of your sent proposals. Click the Edit Proposal button to make updates.
