Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) is a widely used feature in podcast hosting platforms that automatically places ads within episodes based on audience targeting. Before moving your show to Podcorn Hosting, it's essential to disable any active DAI ad placements. Failing to do so may result in ads being permanently embedded in your episodes, as they could be transferred over with the audio itself.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to turn off DAI on most major hosting platforms.
Spotify for Podcasters (formerly Anchor)
Spotify for Podcasters automatically enables monetization through Automated Ads if you’ve opted in. To disable them:
Log in to your Spotify for Podcasters account.
Click on "Money" in the sidebar.
Under "Automated Ads", locate the toggle switch.
Turn off Automated Ads.
If you have any pre-recorded ads running, ensure they are removed from your episodes.
Note: If you’ve signed up for the Spotify Audience Network (SPAN), you may need to contact Spotify support to fully disable DAI.
Libsyn
Libsyn’s Automatic Ads system places dynamic ads into your episodes. To disable:
Log in to your Libsyn account.
Go to "Monetization" in the dashboard.
Under "Advertising Settings", locate your DAI ad slots.
Disable the ad slots manually for each episode.
Note: If you’re part of the Libsyn Ads Program, you may need to reach out to Libsyn support to fully opt out.

Note: If you’re part of Podbean’s Ads Marketplace, opt out via the Monetization settings or contact support.

Locate the Dynamic Content section and remove any pre-, mid-, or post-roll ads.
If using Buzzsprout Ads, ensure that it is toggled off in your monetization settings.
