Tracking your podcast’s performance is key to growing your audience and maximizing monetization. When you log into Podcorn, the Dashboard provides a real-time snapshot of your show’s performance, while the Reports tab gives you deeper, customizable insights.
Here’s how to navigate both tools and make the most of your podcast analytics.
Podcorn Dashboard: Quick Performance Insights
The Dashboard is the first screen you’ll see when you log in. It gives you a high-level overview of your podcast’s performance, including downloads, audience trends, top episodes, and listener geography.
Key Features:
Date Picker
Located in the top-right corner, the Date Picker allows you to select a time range.
This updates all data on the dashboard, including graphs, charts, and maps.
Downloads & Audience Trends (Line Graph)
Tracks total downloads (number of times your episodes have been downloaded) and audience size (estimated unique listeners).
Why it matters: Helps you spot trends, such as spikes in listens after releasing new episodes or promotional efforts.
Compare downloads vs. audience size to see if listeners are fully engaging or just sampling episodes.
Total Audience
Displays the total number of unique listeners for the selected date range.
Why it matters: Gives you a clear snapshot of how many people you’re reaching.
Note: Longer date ranges may lead to minor inaccuracies due to double-counting. Podcorn is working to improve this metric as of February 2025.
Top Episodes
Breaks down partial downloads vs. full downloads for each episode.
Why it matters: Identifies which episodes resonate most with your audience, helping you refine content strategy.
Earnings (Monetization Tracking)
Tracks the revenue you’ve generated in the selected time frame.
Why it matters: Helps you measure the financial impact of ads and sponsorships.
Important Note: The earnings dashboard is still in development and does not display earnings data yet as of February 2025. If you need earnings details, contact support@podcorn.com.
Downloads by Geography
Shows where your listeners are located—both in the U.S. and internationally.
Why it matters: Helps tailor your content and marketing efforts to regions where you have the most engagement.
Reports Tab: Deeper Insights & Custom Data Analysis
For more advanced analytics, the Reports tab (located just below the Dashboard) provides customizable data views in rows and columns.
How to Use Reports:
Date Range & Grouping
Date Picker: Select a time frame, just like in the Dashboard.
Group Data By: Choose how you’d like to organize data—by day, week, month, or year.
Tip: Some advanced filters may be temporarily disabled when selecting daily grouping.
Metrics vs. Dimensions
Metrics: Numeric measurements (i.e. Downloads, Impressions, Audience Size).
Dimensions: How you segment those metrics (i.e. by episode, location, or date).
Fetching & Exporting Data
Select your desired date range, grouping, metrics, and dimensions.
Click "Fetch" to generate results in a table format.
Need an offline copy? Click "Export CSV" to download your data.
